Frequently Asked Questions

We’re happy to answer any questions you may have, but here are the answers to some common questions that you might find helpful.

Why use seminars?

Seminars are a social event and educational forum that allows your future clients to relax and get to know you. You are trying to show your clients you care about their future and know how to help them in a professional and courteous manner. The goal of the seminar is to introduce yourself and your company in a face to face, neutral environment. It is very important to serve a meal at your seminar because food is a natural way for people to socialize and a lure to attend. “Breaking bread breaks the ice.”

How do I get started?

To get started, please call 910-343-0512. One of our seminar specialists will talk you through the process and make getting started as easy and hassle-free as possible.

What can I expect on my initial phone call?

On your initial phone call, your seminar specialist will:
  • Discuss our successful methodologies based on the thousands of seminars we've helped coordinate across the country.
  • Help you identify who should be your targeting audience.
  • Help you choose a date, time, and location that will work best for your seminar.
  • Answer any questions or concerns you may have.
  • Discuss your goals and objectives to create a customized invite for your business.

How much lead-time is required to create and mail invitations?

First-time clients should plan to contact us at least 35 days before their seminar. We will have a design proposal for you in approximately 24 hours or less. However, your broker/dealer's compliance department may need a couple of weeks to review and approve your invitation. Please adjust your time frame accordingly. Standard mail (often referred to as "bulk" mail) is delivered in 3-14 days nationwide. Mail deliveries can also take significantly longer during holiday seasons and adverse weather conditions. We suggest that you ensure that your mailing date is at least 3-4 weeks before the event.

How many do I need to mail?

You should plan on a one-percent response rate from your mailing. How many people do you expect to attend your seminar? How large is the room? For a typical seminar, we suggest you try to meet between 25 and 35 people. This keeps the crowd at a comfortable, class-room size. For a typical seminar, we suggest mailing 5,000 pieces. This gives you two seminar dates of approximately 25 people.

Does BAU offer a guarantee?
